We all knew that SRAM would eventually release their GX drivetrains in the electric form, but we never expected it to come so soon! We were delighted to be invited to watch and partake in the top secret unveiling of the GX Eagle AXS components.
To start off with the GX AXS will only be available as an upgrade kit, ideal if you want to convert your old drivetrain into a modern electric one without too much of a financial outlay. Then later in the year you'll be able to purchase a complete GX AXS groupset complete with cranks, chain and cassette.
The mechanical GX groupsets are one of our best sellers as they are fantastic quality and really do look more expensive than they are. I have been running a GX groupset on my personal bike for the past 3 years and it has worked flawlessly from day one. I have no doubt the new electric derailleur and shifter will continue to offer the same durability and quality of shift after many years and I'm excited to fit one of these upgrade kits on my bike and give it a good test in the British mud!
